Team Work Foundations
Think, Feel, Act, and Play Like a Team!
Teamwork Foundations enhances the 3 Core Competencies of successfully engaged teams:
♦ Team Alignment and Accountability
♦ Effective Communication
♦ High Levels of Trust
Your training is both pragmatic and highly experiential. We combine challenging initiatives, media presentation and facilitated discussions to help each participant capitalize on their learning experience. Team members can immediately apply what they learn to “real life” situations so they can enhance your team’s dynamic. What makes the learning so effective is the emphasis on active engagement and lively facilitated discussions.
This training is a corner stone for all other employee engagement strategies as it will engage your employees in meaningful and stimulating ways! Unfortunately, in today’s work environment, only 25% of employees are actively engaged while 75% are disengaged. Explore some other surprising statistics.
Your training will focus on those areas that are most important to your team’s growth and development.
Here is what your team will discover as they strengthen the 3 Core Competencies of successful teams:
Team members discover what it means to become fully engaged with each other as they strive to accomplish challenging initiatives. They explore the values that unite their team and develop a “value contract” as a road map for their success. We also explore the power of “why” as a tremendous motivator in achieving personal and team goals. We will cover: What to expect: Team members will create meaningful connections with each other while working together successfully. They will develop a value contract in which they will hold each other accountable. They will explore and understand the power of “why”as a motivator for success. How many times do your team members think they understand each other, only to find out that they missed the mark? It’s frustrating and it can be costly. Participants will take a deeper dive into assumptions about communication, and explore methods and approaches towards communicating more effectively. We will actively engage in challenges that will help your team members internalize what they learn so they can fine tune their communication skills back at work. We will cover: What to expect: Each team member will have new tools to help them communicate more effectively. They will examine their assumptions about communication and learn ways to communicate more effectively. They will incorporate shared team values and effective problem solving methodologies. In the Peanuts comics by Charles Schultz, Lucy asks Charlie Brown to trust her as she holds the football. Even though she pulls away the football at the last moment, he always ends up flat on his back – again and again and again. Trust and vulnerability go hand in hand. While we would like to extend trust in our relationships, none of us want to end up flat on our backs. Your team will explore the principals and practices that promote “smart trust” among their teammates. Like all of our training, it will be highly experiential We will cover: What to expect: Team members will gain an understanding of “smart trust” and how character and competence and important factors in creating trusting relationships. We will explore how accountability is another important factor in creating trusting relationships. We also will explore the relationship between trust and vulnerability. This workshop will build on insights gained from previous sessions.

“We have been fortunate to have Dov facilitate team building activities for our staff twice over the last year and a half in order to strengthen our team. We have enjoyed his genuine and creative approach to team building. He has the ability to bring people together in a way that highlights what is going well among the team and also focuses on the strengths and value of each individual team member. Areas for growth are addressed in way that brings the issue back to the team as a whole with a focus on positive solutions. Dov facilitates creative activities that aren’t your typical team building exercises and provides opportunity for engaging, thought-provoking discussions that help to move the team to the next level. We highly recommend other groups to participate in this type of program if their goal is to strengthen their team and they want to engage in a fun, interactive and meaningful experience.”
