What You Can Expect…
There are many approaches to team development and leadership training. All training is not the same and the better you understand who we are and our approach, the better you will be able to decide if we’re the right fit for you. Although the content of our trainings changes, here’s what you can expect with any of our programs:
[rev_slider What]If you’re familiar with improvisational music, one song will morph into another as the band plays their set. Some bands have a set list, while others will follow the flow. During our programs, we come prepared with a host of challenges so we can choose what’s most appropriate for your team as the day unfolds. Sometimes we go with a prepared set list, other times we are more improvisational. At times, we invent challenges on the spot. Or, we use “tried and true” initiatives. It all depends on what is most appropriate for your group at that time for maximum effectiveness.
As the day progresses, participants will have the opportunity to tap into their own creativity and what emerges is the expression of new thoughts, approaches, insights, and applications.
We often hear that people don’t like training sessions because they are concerned that they will be a waste of their valuable time. A “fun” training session may sound like it is guaranteed to be a waste of time. We take our fun seriously, and can assure you that just because we’re having fun, it doesn’t diminish the content in any way. Quite the contrary, it enhances it.
Our professional staff has extensive training in group facilitation. Our lead facilitators are “centurions”, with over 100 years of combined experience. We play off of each other’s strengths and if your program requires multiple facilitators, we choose those facilitators that are a best match for your team. Click here for a snapshot of our lead facilitators.
A professional facilitator acts as a ‘catalyst for change” throughout your training. After your team engages in a strategic initiative, your facilitator will help the group elicit meaningful discussion as to what just happened, how that is relevant to real life (ie – life back on the job site) and what practical steps may be taken in order to bring about positive change – both on an individual and group basis.
Emotional and Physical Safety are the cornerstones of any program we run. We’ve all seen those teambuilding parody videos where the leader asks people to do outrageous things. We follow the “challenge by choice” philosophy, and trust that each person knows what is right for them. At the same time, we do encourage people to step out of their comfort zones because that is the place where growth and change often takes place.
We like to reinforce learning points through participant workbooks, when appropriate. This helps members of your team retain important “aha moments” throughout the day.
One of the terrific outcomes of working with teams is that we become more than just a vendor who is selling you widgets. There is an openness and trust that is built during the program. You’ve invited us to become part of your team, and we are grateful for that opportunity. We like to stay in touch with you to find out how your team is doing and offer suggestions that would be beneficial for your team.
Understand our discovery process to see if we are a good fit for each other.
