It takes commitment, time, energy, and support to make positive changes. Our training will help your team understand and practice the principles that are critical for successful change and growth. We will go one step further and help your team take those learning points and apply them practically to their work situation.
The Blueprint for Success workshops will cover:
Vision: It is critically important for individuals and teams to ask themselves and envision: What/where do we want to be? Although companies spend countless hours developing mission and vision statements, individuals are often unaware of what they really mean. When they are given the opportunity to develop their own mission and vision statements that apply directly to their team they develop a common blueprint to guide their behaviors.
Values: Teams also need to agree on the values that they will commit to in order achieve their mission and vision. We encourage teams to develop a “value contract”, consisting of the five most important values that all team members agree upon. In this way, they can create for themselves a positive and productive work atmosphere.
Creative Tension: Teams also need to honestly appraise where they are today. This would include understanding strengths within the team, weaknesses and obstacles. By understanding where the team would like to go, as well as were they are right now, they can utilize this creative tension as a motivator for positive change. We use survey tools such as DISC and other organizational assessments to bring clarity to the question – Where are we today?
Action Plan: Once your team has a better understanding of their strengths, talents, challenges and what they would like to achieve, the next step is mapping out an action plan to help take them there. In this process, they will explore the following:
What should we STOP doing?
What should we CONTINUE doing?
What should we START doing?
Experimentation: Your team now has the opportunity to implement the great ideas they have developed. Similar to the team building challenges, they will discover what works and what doesn’t work and make the necessary adjustments that innovation requires.
Accountability/Coaching: There is a saying, “You have to do it yourself… but you don’t have to do it alone”. Business owners and managers have discovered a great secret after many years of trying to motivate their employees to make positive changes. “It’s easier said than done!” Although we often have wonderful intentions, and develop strategies and systems to help us realize our goals, we often are missing something in our game plan. For most people, the simple truth is that we all need encouragement and support to help us make the changes we desire. The question that your team will need to address is: What’s the best way for each one of us to be to accountable to the road map that we created for ourselves? How can I get the support that I may need? You may also want to consider outside coaching, from one of our coaching specialists if that is appropriate.
